oasisApril 16: Shop Hop returns. This free event will have 15 stops (OASIS is one) where you will collect your eggs. Watch the Facebook page for more information on registration and stops.

April 23: Official opening of Habitat for Humanity’s Restore in Harrisonburg. OASIS has created two peace posts on which participants are invited to write messages of hope and inspiration. Additionally, OASIS will be distributing sunflower sprouts while supplies last.

May on the Mezzanine: The “OASIS Invitational” will feature works by Jayme Driver, Elaine Hurst, Barbara Gautcher, Jewel Hertzler, John Robson, Deb Booth, Josh Rogers, Rocktown Urban Woods and Carmen Shenk. Work will be in a variety of media including wood, paint, quilling, wood and metal sculpture.

The show will be in place from May 1 to May 28.

  • First Friday: May 6, 5-7 p.m., with live music from Cousin Jimmy’s Stringband.
  • The show continues until May 28.

May in the Water Street Window Gallery: In May, the Harrisonburg Police Department will host an exhibit to honor Police Month.
