Floyd Allen Clair Hunter, 70, of Houtzdale, died on September 13, 2022, from medical issues.
Floyd was born on May 31, 1952 in Philipsburg, the son of Esther (Ewing) and the late Allen Hunter.
Three children survived: Leslie (Mike) Kensinger of Tyrone, Robin Woodring (Jeff Barto) of Warriors Mark and Floyd (Emily) Hunter Jr. of Tyrone; his mother, Esther (Ewing) Hunter; six siblings: Francis (Glenda) Hunter, Allen Hunter, Randy (Denise) Hunter, Rony (Tammy) Hunter, Teresa (Calvin) Zimmerman, and Tanya (Andy) Harpster; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Hunter; her father, Allen Hunter; one son, Terry Woodring; one sister, Jeannette Médine; and a sister-in-law, Diane Hunter.
Floyd graduated from Tyrone Area High School in 1970. He worked as a laborer and foreman in various industries such as Reese Sawmill, Reese Dimensions, Proctor Silex and Kunzler, from where he eventually retired. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, quad biking and spending time with his grandchildren.
At the request of the family, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, Houtzdale.
