MINSK, Sept. 15 (BelTA) — A Belarusian-Pakistani business forum dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in the field of woodworking was held in Minsk on the sidelines of the Lesdrevtech forestry exhibition on September 14, a learned BelTA.
During the event, representatives of Bellesbumprom, Bellesexport and companies providing shipping and logistics services made presentations to the Pakistani public. The event was also attended by Director of the National Marketing Center Nikolai Borisevich and Pakistani Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan.
According to Nikolai Borisevich, the interaction between the National Center for Marketing and the Aptta All Pakistan Timber Traders Association is not a unique story. “In May 2022, the center and Aptta held an online event to discuss woodworking cooperation. During the webinar, company representatives had the opportunity to network. After studying the potential of the woodworking industry in Belarus, the Pakistani business community has expressed interest in developing contacts with our country.As a result, Belarus is hosting a delegation that includes representatives of more than 20 Pakistani companies engaged in the buying and selling joinery products,” he said.
After the presentations, forum participants organized a business matchmaking event. In the coming days, Pakistani businessmen will visit a number of enterprises affiliated with the Ministry of Forestry and the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry Bellesbumprom in the oblast. of Minsk and Mogilev Oblast.
