SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Third Bench, through a general contractor client, is supplying millwork and related products for the development of the 300-acre Netflix campus at Mesa Del Sol near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Netlfix campus is dedicated to the production operations of Netflix studios.

Netflix, a streaming service that produces original content, purchased the Albuquerque Studios facility in 2018 and announced a major expansion in November 2020. The project is expected to be completed in 2023. The 300-acre expansion will create approximately 1 000 production jobs and an additional $1 billion in production spending statewide.

“People will think of Albuquerque as the home of Netflix studios,” said Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller.

Third Bench ranks 221st in the FDMC 300 list of top woodworking companies. Company CEO David Fair said, “This is one of many great long-term projects in Third Bench’s backlog! This project is an example of the many companies that are making a significant commitment to the South West, which will bring an influx of people to the region and create tons of high-income job opportunities.”

David goes on to say, “The migration of people, from states like California, will seek housing in New Mexico. This project will continue to support the regional housing market and Third Bench will be there to provide cabinetry for all homes.”
